They were both breathless and relaxed as she untied his wrists and one ankle. When they finally caught their breath, Francesca began to cover herself. She looked at Lord Grimaldi and stated with amusement, “My name is Francesca, by the way.”
“I am Francisco. That was amazing!”
“I have never done that before, but for some reason I couldn’t control myself,” she looked boldly at him and felt herself blush thoroughly.
“I have never had that done to me.” Francisco smiled.
“Did you like that?” she asked.
“I like you.”
“You don’t even know me.”
“Let’s see if we can change that.”

Lord Bryon Edwardson Grimaldi II is considered one of the best officers of the King's guards. He is indispensable as he fights invaders with skill and mastery. He has enjoyed his battles for Henry VII but he longs for peace and to be home with his son, Francesco. He has been seeking another woman to take care of his son since the death of his wife but of yet has found no one. Francesca has the heart of a true, generous and sensual gypsy. Her heart belongs to the sea and she goes where the wind takes her, and to others she is known as Lady Pirata', The Lady Pirate. As a gypsy they make their money by selling crafts, telling fortunes, and sometimes taking from nobles their wealth and giving to the poor. When she captures Lord Francesco Grimaldi, expecting his father to pay a ransom, neither had any idea the sparks that would explode between a gypsy and a Lord or a secret revealed that could disrupt lives. The Lady Pirate is a great read. The likeable characters make the story fascinating. I was engrossed the minute I started reading. I loved the premise of the storyline. I found myself absorbed in the actions of Francesco as he continues to gaze upon Francesca. Their emotions really grasp hold of this reader. One also gets an ideal of the strong love Lord Bryon emits for his son. Brianna Martini certainly mixes excitement and action in this stunning tale. She makes sure her audience feels the pain, heartache and love, each character shares. I look forward to more of her absorbing books.
